Florida Sailing & Cruising School is one of the oldest ASA schools in the country. We have been in business for 30 years, since 1984. Our courses are small and targeted to meet each student’s goals.

Whether you are a beginner, a novice, or an experienced sailor, we can offer you a curriculum that will improve your skills and understanding of the sport. If your particular needs don’t exactly fit within the standard curriculum, we will tailor a course of instruction to fit your needs. Our goal for every student is to develop competence, which leads to safety, confidence, and enjoyment while on the water.

We have boats and instructing locations around the Sarasota/Bradenton, St. Petersburg/Clearwater, and Tampa Bay area including the Gulf of Mexico.  Our sailing and boating waters extend over the entire Tampa Bay waters with easy access to the Gulf of Mexico and points northward and southbound.  Our beaches locally are known for their beautiful white sugar sand, amazingly clear blue-green waters, and often the area is top-ranked among popular destinations for travelers to west central Florida.

Our sailing area offers deep water sailing in shore and offshore with easy access to the Atlantic. Our boats are docked on the ICW and we are able to sail right off the dock. Currents here are strong and offer challenging conditions, as well as pristine sailing areas. We have favorable winds and sail year-round. A student can expect to find an array of conditions and circumstances that would be useful for future sailing.

Koa Sailing School was founded for adventurers by adventurers. We have worked, played, and survived on every continent on earth. We love to learn from people with a variety of experiences and share new adventures. Our vision is to prepare you to explore our earth with the tools necessary to be self-sufficient. While we enjoy teaching ASA 101-104 (basic keelboat through bareboat cruising), we specialize in medical training for mariners.

At the Coconut Grove Sailing School helping people become exceptional sailors is our passion. We are located in Dinner Key marina in the heart of the historic village of Coconut Grove, Miami FL. Coconut Grove is one of the most charming villages in Florida and an important tourists destination for people around the world. It was founded in 1863 and it has since then been a hub for sailors. This rich history can be seen through the village. Coconut Grove is a lively community with many great restaurants to visit after your sailing lesson. Our Sailing Lessons take place in the pristine turquoise waters of Biscayne Bay.

Sail Away Key West Catamaran Sales and Charters offers a large and diverse fleet of catamaran makes and models available for your ASA training courses! We offer customized live aboard sail training courses in the Bahamas, Key West, or on the Chesapeake Bay with ASA Certified Instructors that have years of Cruising, Racing, and Chartering experience.

Florida Yacht Group has four locations in south Florida: Miami, Key West, West Palm Beach, and St Petersburg. We can offer sailing lessons at any of our locations. Our fleet is extensive and includes both monohulls and catamarans. All vessels in our yacht charter fleet are new, or within a few years of new.

ECY’s classes are all live aboard and have professional, dedicated, and compassionate instructors in an environment exceptionally well suited for learning all aspects of sailing. Our local sailing waters start off in the heart of the sailing destination of Pensacola Beach, allowing you to walk to restaurants, shops and beaches right from our marina. As your skills build, you will sail from sweet Little Sabine Bay, out into sounds & bays that make up the Intra Coastal Waterway, then out into the Gulf of Mexico.

Mulberry Cove Marina is on Naval Air Station Jacksonville. Programs at the Marina are open to active duty and retired personal, dependents, and DOD employees. ASA101 sailing classes are held over two weekends giving the beginning sailor lots of “tiller time”. In addition, Mulberry Cove offers a wide assortment of water sports and activities including powerboat and kayak rentals.
