As someone with limited racing experience this seminar was well organized and easy to follow. Having the instructor take time to answer questions was very helpful.

YOUR HOST
EUGENE Yacht ClubFounded in 1940, the Eugene Yacht Club (EYC) has been a vibrant hub for sailing enthusiasts in the Pacific Northwest for over 80 years. Initially formed by a group of local boaters eager to promote the sport, EYC has evolved from a floating boathouse on Siltcoos Lake to its current home on Richardson Point at Fern Ridge Reservoir. Over the decades, the club has transformed its facilities, expanding docks, seawalls, and the clubhouse through the dedication and volunteer efforts of its members. These enhancements, paired with excellent wind and water conditions, have made EYC a premier venue for regattas, including national championships for iconic sailing classes like Coronado 15, Santana 20, and Thistle.
EYC is more than a venue—it’s a community. Signature events like the Memorial Day Regatta, the Commodore’s Ball, and the annual Sail School, renamed the Dick Brust Sail School in 2022, celebrate the club’s rich traditions. The club supports sailors of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to competitive racers, with its Olympic circle racing course and family-friendly atmosphere. With its commitment to fostering sailing and preserving its storied heritage, the Eugene Yacht Club continues to be a cornerstone of the Pacific Northwest sailing community.
