The Chariot Adventures ASA Cruise n’ Learn class is a six day and night mini-cruise in the San Juan Islands, which departs from Bellingham, Washington. We will live aboard and practice the skills that you will need to be certified to charter a boat and/or develop the confidence to cruise your own boat one day. We will learn the American Sailing Association curriculum, ASA 101, 103 and 104, practicing sailing skills, docking, anchoring, mooring, navigation, weather, safety and seamanship, as well as getting a taste of living aboard.
I offer a Couple’s Private Cruise n’ Learn, which means you and your partner do all the sailing and have all the helm time. The two of you have my undivided attention and we go at your pace. By the end of the week, the two of you are running the boat, and when you leave, you Know that you can do everything yourselves. You will have a real sense of accomplishment, and enjoy more confidence in yourselves and one another.
On our cruise, we may visit some of the famous places in the San Juan Islands, including Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor on San Juan Island and Rosario Resort on Orcas Island. We also make stops on Sucia and Lummi Island, where we can go ashore and walk or explore. Natural beauty and wildlife surround us in this amazing place. We may even see Orca whales and Bald eagles!
I specialize in working with Couples and also offer several All Women’s classes each season. I am also available for Crewed Charters and Yacht Deliveries.
I look forward to working with you to achieve your sailing and cruising goals.
