Discover the hidden gems of Baja California Sur!

Go Baja Sailing School wrote the book on ASA Sailing training in La Paz, Baja California Sur since 2010. We specialize in immersive 6-day-7-night liveaboard courses aboard our 45’ Dufour Monohull, featuring 4 double private cabins. Additionally, we offer ASA 101, 103, and 104 courses and certification opportunities aboard our 45’ Fountaine Pajot Catamaran, equipped with 4 double private cabins, for 6 days and 6 nights. Our ASA 101, 103, 104, and 114 Catamaran courses offer the unique experience of an onboard private chef available for private courses. To ensure individual attention and quality instruction, we limit our courses to 6 students per boat. All boats are federally licensed and permitted to be in all protected areas.

Your adventure begins with a Saturday 6 PM check-in for our Meet & Greet all-inclusive Mexican Fiesta at Marina Costa Baja/Puerta Cortes, where you’ll spend the night in your private cabin onboard. Courses commence promptly on Sunday at 9 AM and conclude by 3 PM on Friday after a fulfilling week at sea. (At Go Baja Sailing, we prioritize maximizing your time with the most nights on board and full days of sailing.)

What better way to learn to sail than in the Sea of Cortez? With no Pacific ground swell, it is more like a lake sailing with much less motion sickness. Hernan Cortez discovered the pearls in 1542. Now, in a much more charted world, it’s your turn to discover these pristine, protected islands, jam-packed with marine life. Thanks to a rigorous marine protection program that has been in place for several years, you get to see the beauties beneath the sea that are protected. Isla Espiritu Santo, only 8 miles offshore, is now under Federal regulations.
Four or more who book our all-inclusive liveaboard get free private car transportation to our sailing base in La Paz from SJD in our luxury van. The new, 4-lane, divided highway makes the 2-hour drive from SJD to our beautiful Marina Costa Baja a piece of cake. The amazing service and restaurants all around our sailing base make this place feel like home, certainly for us, but also for you!

Cold, rain, and snow do not exist in southern Baja! Our winter is your summer! The Sea of Cortez in November when water temperatures can still be in the 80’s clear through to June when nights are still cool enough that A/C is not needed is our 7-month high season.

Look for our monthly “Baja Special” on our website for all-inclusive single and double occupancy affordable rates. Our amazing male and female ASA-certified Captains have bios on the website. We offer 3 meals a day including 3 nights of fresh local fish and shrimp. Our boats are equipped with Starlink Internet, SUPs, Kayaks, and snorkel gear. Our courses include an international logbook and a trial membership to American Sailing. Join us aboard our amazing 455 DuFour monohull for ASA 101,103, and 104 as either an individual in a double private cabin or as two people in a double occupancy cabin which will save you 500 PP. On the other hand, we offer you the Catamaran Course aboard our outstanding Fountaine Pajot which include 101, 103, 104, and 114 sailing either as an individual in a double private cabin or as two people in a double occupancy cabin, which saves you 500 PP. We require a $750 USD deposit for monohull courses, and a $1,000 USD deposit for catamaran courses to reserve your private cabin and get your ASA materials so you can start studying now for this amazing sailing experience!
