The Annapolis Naval Sailing Association offers ASA classes in the Annapolis area and up and down the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. We have been training sailors for over 50 years. We maximize time on the water and emphasize safety in our classes. Some of our instructors are Navy D-Skippers and volunteer with the Naval Academy Offshore Training Squadron. We sail on a variety of boats from 30′ to 44′ in length.
We are a non-profit organization and our membership is open to all. Our goal is to offer affordable sailing, while providing education and supporting the sailing heritage of the Chesapeake Bay. In addition to training, we take care of our boats, sail together on the beautiful Bay, and enjoy winter get togethers and summer cookouts. After taking a course, continue to sail with us to build your skills and confidence. Get your time On the Water (OTW) and build your sailing log. We sail out of several beautiful marinas including Hartge Yacht Harbor in Galesville, Maryland, Ferry Point Marina in Arnold, and Holiday Point Marina in Edgewater. This allows us to explore a large area of the Bay, including the Magothy River, West River, and historic St Michaels.
