If you’re going to learn to sail, you may as well do it in a beautiful city, on waters filled with wildlife and steeped with history! Savannah is consistently ranked one of the top travel destinations in the US, so you will have plenty to see and do outside of class as well.

Savannah can be a challenging place to sail, which makes it a great place to learn. We’ll teach you how to sail here, so that you can be confident to sail anywhere. Our instructors and staff are here to ensure you get a valuable, safe, and fun sailing education. We have spent many years gaining knowledge and experience at sea, both locally and all over the world, and our desire is for you to grow to love sailing as much as we do. Our classes are designed to teach you all that you need to know about the basics of sailing and safety, and we hope that you walk away with a passion for it. 

We offer both private and group courses on our Catalina 30 and Capri 25. If you just want to dip your toes in the water, we also offer private sailing charters filled with dolphins and beautiful sunsets. Either way, our Coast Guard licensed captains will make your sailing dreams become a reality!

Learn to skipper a 20' - 27' sloop-rigged keelboat by day, in light to moderate winds and sea conditions. Learn basic sailing terminology, parts and functions, helm commands, basic sail trim, points of sail, buoyage, seamanship and safety including basic navigation rules to avoid collisions and hazards.

Learn to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered 25'-35' keelboat by day in moderate winds and sea conditions. Learn cruising sailboat terminology, basic boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, docking procedures, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, basic coastal navigation, anchoring, weather, safety and seamanship.

Learn how to sail a sloop-rigged, auxiliary powered 30'-45' sailboat during a multi-day cruise upon inland/coastal waters in moderate/heavy winds and sea conditions. Learn about provisioning, boat systems, auxiliary engines, advanced sail trim, coastal navigation, anchoring / mooring, docking, emergency operations, weather, and more.
