KYSC was the first ASA facility in Georgia, starting in 1983. Our primary location is located on a large private mountain lake in foothills of North Georgia. Just 20 minutes off of exit 20 on I 575. This quiet setting allows for a safe beginning experience because of the low boat traffic. As your skills grow, we will take you on to bigger waters and boats…from the Lakes, to the Coasts, to the Islands, to the Oceans. from ASA 101 to ASA 106 and ASA 114.

We start with the ASA 110 course. This is the best way to learn the basics. We use Walker Bay Sailing Dinghies. These 10 ft sailboats have a flotation collar installed that allow the sailboat to respond normally to the wind speed and direction. The collar helps keep the boat from flipping during the lesson. This way you can solo much quicker.
