ASA Certified Sailing Lessons:
Achieve your sailing certification with the American Sailing Association standards aboard Eliora, our 31’ Catalina; we teach sailing onboard sailboats, not in classrooms . You will get lots of personal attention and helm time as all classes have a maximum of 4 students. In addition to the beginner and intermediate courses ASA101, ASA103, ASA104 and ASA105, we offer the refresher/review ASA111, and the harder-to-find Advanced Coastal Cruising (ASA106) course. Our school is easily located in Punta Gorda, Florida, in beautiful Charlotte Harbor on the Gulf of Mexico.

ASA Certified Private Sailing Lessons:
Private lessons and Couples courses are offered on our Catalina 310. This is the perfect option if you prefer personal one-on-one time with no additional students in the class.

ASA Certified Private Sailing Lessons on Your Boat:
If you would like private lessons on your own boat, our Captains will come to your marina anywhere on the Southwest Florida coastline from Naples up to Tampa. Another option is to bring your boat to Punta Gorda and dock it at Fisherman’s Village.

ASA111 Sailing Review and Private Informal Lessons:
You can go sailing on our Catalina 310 or use your boat, and a Captain will give informal, private lessons with no tests. You pick the topics to be covered, and work on the skills you wish. Perhaps you just need a little refresher course, more practice before the next sailing course, or maybe you want to learn more about your boat.

Veterans:
Make sure you mention you are a Veteran when you book your class. As a thank you to our Veterans, we offer a discount on ASA101.

Sunset Cruises and Captained Charters:
We have sunset cruises and Captained charters for those who just want to get out on the water and enjoy the day. The most popular sailing option is our Sunset Cruise which is 2 hours in duration, leaving the dock about 1 1/2 hours before sunset. All our charters include a Captain, and you are free to do as much or as little of the sailing as you wish. Enjoy your time exploring Charlotte Harbor or the Gulf Islands aboard our gorgeous 31’ Catalina ‘Eliora’. You may have up to 6 guests for day trips and up to 4 guests for overnight cruises. Nights may be spent on the hook or in a marina.

Our Sailing Instructors:
Our instructors all have many years of sailing experience, each is an American Sailing Association (ASA) certified instructor and has a Captains license from the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The owner, Captain Phil, has been selected by ASA as an Outstanding Instructor of the Year for both 2019 and 2020. This award honors the top 1% percent of all active status ASA Instructors as determined by Instructor Surveys that are submitted by their students.
