
We offer a boutique sail training experience offering private and semi-private courses taught in a real cruising/voyaging style format. Think of us like a B&B on the water, along with award winning instruction, and knock your socks off itineraries. Based in South Florida, we re-position seasonally to the best cruising grounds based on temperature and weather patterns. Our Fall and Winter courses are taught from South Florida to the Out Islands of the Bahamas. Spring we sail up the eastern seaboard to our summer training grounds in New England and the stunning coastline of Maine.
Our Jeanneau 40 ‘Cour Volant’ is a lovely gentle host as she is solid in blue water but handles like a dinghy in light air. Our motto is to learn about cruising you must go cruising. Experience, Capt. Edana has a proven track record of 40,000 ocean miles all over the globe but has an intimate understanding of east coast sailing. With more than 35 gulfstream crossings and countless trips up the eastern seaboard, she will show you how to comfortable and safely reach your dreams.
Our courses are unique for several ways.
We teach my immersing you in the cruising lifestyle by sailing 5, 7 and 10 day itineraries.
This is not a fast track program! We do not race you through the ASA curriculum, but teach you solid seamanship skills in a rate you can retain the knowledge.
By providing a gracious platform, our Jeanneau 40, patient instruction, stunning itineraries, and exposure to a variety of seas, conditions and navigational challenges you will become a competent sailor .
Plus, you will feel right at home on board.

ASA Sailing Certification Courses Offered
Learn to skipper a 20' - 27' sloop-rigged keelboat by day, in light to moderate winds and sea conditions. Learn basic sailing terminology, parts and functions, helm commands, basic sail trim, points of sail, buoyage, seamanship and safety including basic navigation rules to avoid collisions and hazards.
Learn to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered 25'-35' keelboat by day in moderate winds and sea conditions. Learn cruising sailboat terminology, basic boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, docking procedures, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, basic coastal navigation, anchoring, weather, safety and seamanship.
Learn how to sail a sloop-rigged, auxiliary powered 30'-45' sailboat during a multi-day cruise upon inland/coastal waters in moderate/heavy winds and sea conditions. Learn about provisioning, boat systems, auxiliary engines, advanced sail trim, coastal navigation, anchoring / mooring, docking, emergency operations, weather, and more.
Learn the the navigational theory and practices for safe navigation of a sailing vessel in coastal and inland waters. On-water coastal navigation skills elements are contained in the ASA103, Basic Coastal Cruising, ASA 104, Bareboat Cruising, and ASA 106, Advanced Coastal Cruising, in progressively increasing levels of detail.
Learn to safely act as skipper and crew of a sailing vessel about 30 to 50 feet in length in coastal and inland waters, in any conditions.
Learn to skipper an auxiliary-powered sailing cruising catamaran of approximately 30-45' feet in length during a multi-day liveaboard cruise upon inland or coastal waters in moderate to heavy winds (up to 30 knots) and sea conditions.
Learn basic docking skills for boats with single inboard or outboard engines. Discover the basic theory and hands-on techniques needed to dock and undock boats in an efficient manner and without damage or injury.
