Guangzhou Won Fun Sports Co., Ltd. was established in 2016 (referred to as Won Fun Sailing Club). It is a water sports club mainly engaged in sailing boats, supplemented by kayaks, paddle boards and dragon boats. It carries out campus teaching, public experience, competition training, group building, parent-child activities, winter and summer camps, events, etc. Furthermore, it is one of the American Sailing Associations (ASA) Global Certification Branch. In addition, the club has established cooperative training mechanisms with nearly 10 schools in Guangzhou to promote the popularization of sailing and promote the nautical culture.
Won fun sailing club has many types of ships, including DC20 class multi-person keel sailboat, DC12 class double sailing boat, small sailing boat which including OP, laser, keel boat three classes, and single kayak, double kayak, paddle board, Leisure circle boat, speedboat. At present, the number of students in won fun Club is about 100, and the age of students is concentrated in the three ranges of 6-15 years old, 18-25 years old and 30 years old.
Won Fun sailing Club has a professional coaching team, including 3 international sailing driving instructors, 6 national small-sailing coaches, 3 national sports athletes, and 3 national first level athletes. The above are provincial or national retired athletes. They ever won the national windsurfing championships, national sailing championships, national sports rowing champions, world dragon boat championships. They will instruct the learners personally so that everyone can experience professional training and become a true “sailing” expert.
Learn to skipper a 20' - 27' sloop-rigged keelboat by day, in light to moderate winds and sea conditions. Learn basic sailing terminology, parts and functions, helm commands, basic sail trim, points of sail, buoyage, seamanship and safety including basic navigation rules to avoid collisions and hazards.
Learn to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered 25'-35' keelboat by day in moderate winds and sea conditions. Learn cruising sailboat terminology, basic boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, docking procedures, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, basic coastal navigation, anchoring, weather, safety and seamanship.
Learn how to sail a sloop-rigged, auxiliary powered 30'-45' sailboat during a multi-day cruise upon inland/coastal waters in moderate/heavy winds and sea conditions. Learn about provisioning, boat systems, auxiliary engines, advanced sail trim, coastal navigation, anchoring / mooring, docking, emergency operations, weather, and more.
Learn the the navigational theory and practices for safe navigation of a sailing vessel in coastal and inland waters. On-water coastal navigation skills elements are contained in the ASA103, Basic Coastal Cruising, ASA 104, Bareboat Cruising, and ASA 106, Advanced Coastal Cruising, in progressively increasing levels of detail.
Learn to sail a centerboard or multihull sailboat in light to moderate winds and sea conditions. Learn basic sailing terminology, sail trim, points of sail, crew responsibilities, seamanship and safety including capsize avoidance/recovery and navigation rules to avoid collisions.
