For Immediate Release: American Sailing Association Keeps New Benefits for Members “Flowing” with SailFlow

LOS ANGELES – August 22, 2019 The American Sailing Association (ASA), America’s sail education authority, has teamed up with SailFlow, the ultimate sailing weather resource, to offer another new benefit to increase sailor safety. As a result of the partnership, ASA members can upgrade to SailFlow PRO for one year and save 15%.

This is the third valuable member benefit to be added to the ASA’s expanding “safety net” for boaters this summer.

Part of the WeatherFlow family of brands, SailFlow has over 50,000 weather stations worldwide, allowing users to access stations in their area to view the most up to date wind conditions and wind forecasts. It is available in several platforms, including Web, iPhone / iPad and Android applications. Each application offers a powerful free service level, with different levels of premium content available at various paid membership levels; SailFlow PRO is the company’s most popular product.

Our exclusive PRO Weather Stations have been built ultra heavy-duty by our own MIT engineer and sited by our meteorologists for the highest possible quality of wind reports,” said SailFlow Product Manager George Haye. “With SailFlow PRO, ASA’s members can have access to real-time wind reports from SailFlow’s network of PRO Weather Stations, PRO Forecasts (written by our own team of meteorologists since 1987!), exclusive SailFlow PLUS forecast models and lots more.”

Reliable and accurate wind forecasts are critical for every sailor,” said Lenny Shabes, ASA’s chairman of the board. “Providing wind data in real time, SailFlow PRO is an outstanding product which we are pleased to make available to our members at a savings.
