Hands Across The Sea Delivers 107,194 Books to Schools in the Caribbean!

By: Partners

The American Sailing Association has been partners with Hands Across the Sea for many years. Hands Across the Sea is dedicated to raising the literacy levels of Eastern Caribbean children. Every year we host a Caribbean Getaway Sweepstakes to help raise money, and awareness, for this good cause. Last year ASA members helped raise over $44,464!

Scroll down to read the note we just received from Harriet and Tom Linskey, Co-Founders of Hands Across the Sea and read all the “user reviews”!

Hello from the Caribbean! The 107,194 new amazing books of the 2017-2018 Hands Wish Lists shipment are now on the library shelves of 112 primary schools (grades K to 6) and secondary school (grades 7 to 11) across the Eastern Caribbean, reaching 23,254 children, and “user reviews” are coming in every day. School principals, teachers, and students are telling us about the excitement and impact of the new books and literacy materials. And they, and all of us at Hands Across the Sea, want to thank you for your caring donation that has made this joy and advancement of child literacy possible.

Sincerely,
Harriet and Tom (“T.L.”) Linskey, Co-Founders, Hands Across the Sea
