Time to Get Cruising Catamaran Certified

By: Instructors, Learn To Sail

The cruising catamaran is the fastest growing segment in the sailing world. Heralded for their incredible comfort at a mooring or under sail, more and more cruising destinations are jam packed with what, are in essence, self-sufficient little islands for friends and family. They are stable, fast and readily available for charter in almost every exotic location on the planet.

Since the launch of ASA’s new Cruising Catamarans Made Easy textbook there has been a lot of interest in the ASA 114, Cruising Catamaran certification and a lot of our affiliate schools and our instructors are eager to start teaching sailors how to skipper a catamaran so that they can charter one on their next sailing vacation.
