Join fellow sailors in cruising the beautiful Gulf Islands of British Columbia’s Salish Sea. This cruise offers a variety of excellent destinations to discover, including elegant resorts, small island villages, Provincial Marine parks and idyllic anchorages. Planned stops include anchoring or mooring in picturesque Montague Harbor on Galiano Island and taking in the relaxed village of Ganges on Saltspring Island. There is little rain and relatively few visitors in June, making this an ideal cruising ground.
The Gulf Islands, just off the northwest corner of Washington State, are a cruising paradise. These islands boast sheltered waters, magnificent marine parks, quiet villages and an abundance of welcoming marinas. Wildlife abounds on the land and in the sea, with deer, bald eagles, sea otters, seals, sea lions and orca whales commonplace. Our sailing route will include overnights at anchor or moorings in marine parks, as well as docked in marinas at small villages or resorts. Weather is generally mild in June, with little rain. Come sail with us!

We depart Bellingham, WA and clear into Canada at Poet’s Cove on South Pender Island, a first-class resort where a welcome reception awaits us. The next day it’s off sailing to scenic Montague Harbor and marine park. We’ll spend two nights at Ganges, the principal town of the Gulf Islands, with biking, hiking, fine restaurants and whale watching available. After that we’ll sail to our anchorage in isolated Genoa Bay on Vancouver Island. Our last evening will be a farewell beach barbecue on the shores of Cypress Island in the San Juan Islands.
