Flotilla sailing is a fun way to gain charter experience and make new friends with common interests. Sail away with us and discover the uniquely rich palette of colors, sights, flavors and smells that are so typical of Seychelles.
Discover the original Garden of Eden in The Seychelles. The Seychelles are a remote archipelago in the Indian Ocean, NW of Madagascar. It is truly a nature paradise with unique flora, like he Coco de Mer palms, and fauna, like the huge land tortoises. Many snorkeling opportunities in colorful coral reefs, anchoring in quiet “Anses” or bays, great Creole food that is a fusion of European, African and Asian cuisines. The Seychelles are increasingly popular with sailors who want to go back to what the BVI and Tahiti used to be.
Seychelles Flotilla Leader
Capt. Jean De Keyser and “Admiral” Mila, have introduced hundreds on sailors, experienced and beginners, to the fun of flotilla sailing. They have been doing this for over ten years and, in cooperation with Sea Safaris Sailing School of Chicago, are also organizing flotillas in Croatia, Turkey, Italy and Spain. Jean holds a USCG 100T Master ticket with towing and sailing endorsements and is an ASA instructor 101, 103, 104, 114, 105 and 108.

My husband and I have joined 3 flotillas and have found that Captain Jean’s experience as a sailor and his knowledge of the cruising waters along with “Admiral” Mila’s knack for finding the finest restaurants and interesting places to visit on shore makes Med Sailing Adventures a fantastic, one-of-a-kind vacation! We look forward to many more trips with them.

We have sailed with Jean and Mila on 2 separate occasions, both in, Croatia, and found them to be delightful people to be with on a sailing adventure. They know the sailing areas and islands extremely well, including hidden gems and restaurants on each island that you might not find on your own. They are well organized and do an excellent job of planning, yet remain flexible enough to take into account the desires of the group. We hope to take more sailing adventures with them in the future.

I thought the trip was an experience of a lifetime with opportunities to see new geography and to get to know nice and interesting folks. There were balanced occasions to sail and crew, all the while learning from experienced mariners. The luxurious boats that Med Sailing Adventures chartered were first class with more bells and whistles than one could image. Jean was very astute about the local culture and history. Of course, there were great pastries, pizzas, stuffed squashed blossoms, and wine ashore. Not to forget the water – it was crystal clear!

We went with Jean and Mila to Croatia on our first “Flotilla” several years ago. It was a superbly orchestrated event. The sailing was outstanding and the ports were spectacular. The trip gave some independence but was “group” enough for the novice Cruiser too! Jean was great “tour guide’ for the trip. We returned with Jean and Mila to Mallorca with the whole family, this trip too was outstanding! The culture, the food, The sailing! Zero knots overnight and builds to 15-18 by 3 PM. Great sailing! The Cala’s were beautiful!
