ASA is delighted to offer special ASA Flotilla charters in conjunction with Cruise Abaco. These by the cabin charters will allow ASA Members to experience a bareboat charter experience while having the opportunity to obtain ASA sailing certifications.
ASA 105 & ASA 106 – Gulf Stream Adventure Flotilla
Cruise Abaco are pleased to offer our Gulf Stream Adventure charter October 31 – November 7 (arrival dates approximate) aboard either our Leopard 44 ft. catamaran or our Helia 44 ft. catamaran; both of which offer 4 cabins and 4 heads, as well as one of our Jeanneau 41 ft. sloops which offer 3 cabins and 2 heads. Our ASA Captain will require one cabin so we will have 3 cabins total per catamaran and 2 cabins total per monohull available.
Rates for this charter will run $3,850 per cabin for the catamaran (single or double) and $3,425 per cabin for the monohull (single or double). The rates include the Captain’s fees, fuel, water and any dockage/mooring necessary for the charter. Rates do not include ASA courses (to be added to the charter rate as booked), provisions or alcoholic beverages during the charter. Since the charter originates in Florida we are not charging the 4% Bahamian tax, and since the Captain will be aboard for the entire journey we will not require a damage deposit for this charter.
The Gulfstream adventure will offer all levels of ASA courses up to 106. We depart Port Canaveral Oct 31st. and depending on weather. Passengers need to be flexible. The journey may head straight down coast and then across or down coast to Ft. Pierce or West Palm beach and then across to West End on Grand Bahama or run to Spanish Cay, from there we island hop with final destination at our base at Great Abaco Beach Resort/ Boat Harbour marina.
PLEASE NOTE: The quoted rates are based on full occupancy of each boat; to guarantee rates we must have full occupancy of each boat and all cabins booked prior to sailing.
All guests aboard each boat must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to the charter. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the Bahamian Government requires all visitors to obtain a Health Visa for entry into the Bahamas. The cost of the visa depends on your length of stay in the Bahamas ($40 to $60 per person) and includes expenses for Covid Health Insurance and rapid antigen testing as appropriate. Guests who have been vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival will be exempt from testing but are still required to obtain a Health Visa for entry into the Bahamas. Currently, the U.S. requires a negative rapid-antigen test taken within 3 days of your return flight to the U.S.; this test is included in your Health Visa and unless you extend your stay in the Bahamas will suffice as the test required for re-entry to the states.
