ASA Abaco Islands Flotilla

Guana Cay, Man-O-War, Hope Town and more…

ASA is delighted to offer special ASA Flotilla charters in conjunction with Cruise Abaco. These by the cabin charters will allow ASA Members to experience a bareboat charter experience while having the opportunity to obtain ASA sailing certifications.

ASA Abaco Islands Flotilla

Cruise Abaco are pleased to offer “Flotilla” charters for ASA Members in the Bahamas. Arrival January 22, departure January 29, 2022.   Available boats will be our Leopard 44 ft. catamaran and/or our Helia 44 ft. catamaran, both of which offer 4 cabins and 4 heads.   We are also pleased to include rates for one of our beautiful Jeanneau 41 ft. sloops for the charter which offers 3 cabins and 3 heads.   Due to our unique “Captained by day, Bareboat by night” program, the Captain will not require a cabin so we can offer all cabins for charter guests.

Rates for this charter will run $3,850 plus 4% tax per cabin (single or double) for the catamaran, and $2,550 plus 4% tax per cabin for the monohull. Rates include the Captain’s fees, snorkel gear, 1 fishing rod per boat, provisions, fuel, water and any dockage/mooring fees during the charter. Rates do not include ASA courses (to be added to the charter rate as booked), or alcoholic beverages during the charter. Please keep in mind provisions are included in the charter rates but with the caveat that guests will have 2 nights out on their own for dinner at local restaurants in the various Cays during the charter week.

Cruise Abaco offers a unique concept of “Captained by Day, Bareboat by Night” ® program which allows the Captain/Instructor to sail and instruct, stopping to snorkel a reef or visit a settlement and each night in a different location moored, anchored or docked, guest preference, leaving guests with privacy of the vessel to themselves. They have a dinghy with outboard to go ashore to a restaurant, beach comb, or explore on their own and the next day one of our chase boats delivers the Captain back to the vessel and off they go to another day of adventure and a different spot each night. Great way to get that “bareboat feel”.

Damage Deposit

This Abaco Flotilla charter will require a damage deposit of $1000 per cabin for the catamaran, $1333 per cabin for the monohull which we will authorize on the guest’s credit card of choice 7 days prior to sailing; this will be released within 48 hours of departure providing there is no damage.

Cruise Abaco will send a damage deposit form to booked guests to obtain their credit card information upon booking the cabins.

PLEASE NOTE:  The quoted rates are based on full occupancy of each boat; to guarantee rates we must have full occupancy of each boat and all cabins booked prior to sailing.

The entire amount due is due at the time of booking.

All guests aboard each boat must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to the charter.  Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the Bahamian Government requires all visitors to obtain a Health Visa for entry into the Bahamas.  The cost of the visa depends on your length of stay in the Bahamas ($40 to $60 per person) and includes expenses for Covid Health Insurance and rapid antigen testing as appropriate.  Guests who have been vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival will be exempt from testing but are still required to obtain a Health Visa for entry into the Bahamas.  Currently the U.S. requires a negative rapid-antigen test taken within 3 days of your return flight to the U.S.; this test is included in your Health Visa and unless you extend your stay in the Bahamas will suffice as the test required for re-entry to the states.

Join us on a tour of the British Virgin Islands...
...not as a tourist, but as an exclusive guest onboard a mega yacht!
This winter, Arabella visits the British Virgin Islands. The BVI's are on the bucket list of every sailor and you have the opportunity to tour them on a mega-sailing yacht.
  • Arabella Testimonial Marge

“Steering a 157 foot schooner under full canvas in 20-25 plus winds was exciting, with the wind tearing at my hair. With beautiful blue skies and turquoise seas in 80 degrees, what could be better?”

    Marge Benning, Denver CO

  • Arabella Testimonial Tracy Kosbau

“Everything is taken care of. You don’t have to worry about anything. You just sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery, fresh sea air and fantastic ports of call to explore. In a very short time, we all got to know each other and everyone felt like family to me. I learned a lot, and enjoyed sharing this brief moment in time and space on this lovely boat called the Arabella.”

    Tracy Kosbau

  • Arabella Testimonial Tim Shuman

“What do a film producer, a tech consultant, a dad and his son have in common with a group of Puritans? They all boarded a boat named Arabella bound for Massachusetts, albeit 385 years apart. Unlike John Winthrop and crew the modern passengers sailed in comfort on an ASA sponsored voyage to Martha’s Vinyard, Nantucket and Cuttyhunk islands!”

    Tim Shuman

  • Arabella Testimonial Fred Wyckoff and Gerri Haan

“Absolutely no better way to relax… A full day of sailing aboard the “melts my heart” Arabella, lobster for dinner and slow trip back to the schooner during golden hour. Fantastic!”

    Fred Wyckoff and Gerri Haan

Everyone deserves this type of mega yacht sailing experience at some point in their lives, but few can afford it until now. ASA is giving you an opportunity to join us on this unique, and unforgettable, sailing vacation.
