Imagine a week of fun in the sun, sail on the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico or just enjoy the amazing white sugar sand of Clearwater Beach, Florida. A combination of a land and sea holiday for both experienced sailors and new sailors alike. Stay at the luxurious Marriott Sand Key Resort, which overlooks both the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waters of Clearwater Harbor.

The event begins Friday, September 10th, 2010 and concludes the following Friday, September 17th. Guests can try small boat sailing at the adjoining Community Sailing Center or participate in casual day sails on a variety of different keelboats provided by the local ASA schools. Other sailing activities include fun races, spinnaker tutorials and landside clinics on topics knot tying and chart navigation. Those looking for alternatives to sailing will find plenty to keep them busy with events like the eco tours at the Marine Aquarium, the Island Party and of course our annual “Dress like a Pirate Bash!”

If you are not a sailor the area offers the Travel Channels Number 1 Best Beach along with lots of local flavors to sample just a walk or Jolley Trolley ride away. The Tampa Bay Area ASA Schools and the ASA Staff are looking forward to hosting what can best be described as sailing camp for adults. The Sweepstakes:
From June 1st 2010 through August 1st, 2010. ASA will promote, by means of the ASA website, ASA’s social media sites and the Latitudes & Attitudes TV show the opportunity to submit entries to win a grand prize as detailed below.

Eligibility:
In order to submit entries, individual must be 18 or over and reside in the U.S. Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for ASA or any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the contest or supplying the prize, and/or their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or play.

How to enter:
(I) Complete and the online official entry blank on or before August 1st, 2010. All sweepstakes entries become the property of ASA and will not be returned and may be used by ASA for any purpose and in any media in perpetuity.

How to win:
The Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted from all qualified entries on or about August 2nd. 2010. In the event that the original Grand Prize winner does not meet Official Rules or eligibility requirements/cannot attend the event September 10th-17th, 2010, he/she forfeits the Grand Prize, ASA will award prize to first alternate. Process will continue until Grand Prize is awarded.

All entries must be received on or before August 1st, 2010. The selection will be held Monday, August 2nd, 2010. Decision of ASA is final. The grand prizewinner will be notified by phone and/or mail and must meet all eligibility requirements.

By entering, each contestant agrees to be bound by the rules. ASA, its promotional agents and sweepstakes co-sponsors are not responsible for illegible, lost, delayed or misdirected mail, errors in faxes or shipments, busy phone signals, or incomplete entries.

Grand Prize:
(One) Grand Prize winner(s) will receive a trip for two (double occupancy) to American Sailing Week 2010 from September 10th-17th, 2010 in Clearwater Beach Florida. All transportation and additional expenses are not included. Approximate total value of the grand prize is $2,390.00. The Grand Prize is non-transferable. There may be no cash or other substitutions of prizes by winner. However ASA reserves the right to substitute similar prizes of equal or greater value in the event the above prize is unavailable for any reason. Individual, is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes with respect to entire prize.

Winner or Parent or legal guardian of Grand Prize winner must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release and Indemnification Form ("the Form") that: a) releases, indemnifies and holds harmless ASA its parent, affiliated, subsidiary and successor companies, and its respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives, advertising agencies and promotional sponsors (collectively the "Release") from and against any and all harm, expense, liability or injury that may be sustained relating to or arising from participation in the sweepstakes or acceptance or use of the prize; and b) authorizes the Release to use the winners' names, likenesses, photographs, voices and biographical data for any purpose, in any media, unless prohibited by law.

Prize will not be released until ASA receives all required documents. Failure of Grand Prize winner to return the Forms within the required timeframe will result in automatic forfeiture of any prizes and all such prizes shall be awarded to an alternate winner. In the event of prize forfeiture, the winner-forfeiting prize will sign a Prize Forfeit Form and return to ASA within ten (10) days of receiving the Form.

Unforeseen Events: ASA reserves the right to change this sweepstakes at its sole discretion at any time that ASA become aware of any circumstances or occurrence which would materially affect the sweepstakes security or fairness. ASA reserves the right to announce any sweepstakes rules changes over the air, in print or online. ASA is not responsible for the inability of the winner to accept the prize for any reason.
