San Juan Islands Flotilla 2009

ASA Flotilla participants had a fantastic time sailing out of Bellingham, Washington to the surrounding San Juan Islands.  The group was led by ASA Instructor, Roger Philips.  Roger was a previous Vessel Assist Captain in the area and is very familiar with the local waters.  The group also did a sail to Sidney Harbor in British Columbia.  Highlights  included dinghy racing with prizes, group campfires and a group dinner at McMillan’s Restaurant in Roche Harbor. When asked what the participants liked best about joining the ASA Flotilla, one sailor said “The combination of Flotilla social life and cruising support.” The June weather was perfect and the winds were excellent.  Join us next year when we return about the same time!
